I just came home from my church mission trip. We had a program where we got a piece of wood, and we had to ETCH something in, in pencil that we want to be made new in our lives. it could be to forgive someone, to forget your past, to not judge others....anything. I chose to write down masturbation. It has been a huge problem in my life for three years now. the MC told us to really etch it in good into the wood, because the problem we are facing is really etched into our lives. so, thinking we were just going to throw them away, i pressed incredibally hard on that wood. then, he brought out the sandpaper. we had to sand off the problem on the piece of wood. It shows how God is working in our lives to help us sand down the piece of wood untill its completly smooth. all the rough spots, cracks, and especially, the word are now completly smoothed over, and the word is gone. After a lot of work, and tons of sanding, the word finally came off. It was really encouraging to see my problem go away. I prayed to God that he would help me sand it away. I have that piece of wood hanging over my bed. any time i get...'that'... feeling, i just take a look at my piece of wood. it has really helped me. im just about a month free from masturbation. I encourage you all to get a piece of wood, and some sandpaper, and start sanding off your problems. Hope this helps you guys! God bless.
